Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day or weekend away.
We share a meal together, spend time together, watch the Alpha talks and share our thoughts about what we have heard. Friendships develop and people have had a chance to talk about things close to their heart. The food is a center point of each gathering and so far the food has set some very high standards!!

I moved to the Charleston area to study at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command for six months. I did not know anyone and certainly did not have a church family. I was so blessed to find a genuine Jesus loving community at St. Peter’s. For me personally the Alpha course was an opportunity to connect with other people and look closer at a faith I had already called my own. It was an awesome time to just talk, eat a good meal, build relationships, and not worry about saying or knowing the “right thing.” – Kahlia Koziuk
I was a simple church-goer, but never understood certain things. For me Alpha offered open communication and let me realize I wasn’t the only one with questions. I was able to feel comfortable to ask with wonderful encouraging friends to help open my eyes.
